Project: Bellevue Hill

The clients for the Bellevue Hill Project requested a fresh, open, tropical oasis with low-maintenance plants and the Elegant Landscapes team certainly delivered beautifully. ‘The quality of finishes, the large, mature plants and the use of practical and environmentally appropriate materials impressed the judges, especially on a very challenging site. The steep slope and tight access meant the inclusion of high-end drainage solutions, clever workforce management and adjustment to constant design variations. Overall, Elegant landscapes delivered a beautiful, functional and extremely well-executed outdoor space. The re-use of existing sandstone, the wise choice of artificial turf and the fine choice of plants mean that not only does the garden look elegant now, but it will continue to look magnificent into the future.

Sand & Stone Landscapes, in collaboration with Landscape Architect Annabelle Drew, transformed this Chatswood garden into a relaxed, informal landscape with gracious curves, lush, layered planting and soft lighting. ‘Having recently renovated the interior of the house, the owners were keen to enhance the natural surrounds to provide the perfect, complementary backdrop for their home. The judges were dazzled by the superb execution and the meticulous attention to detail throughout the Beresford project and they were also pleased by the use of native plantings and materials.

Project: Morley Project

Work on the Morley Project was a highly unique experience for Dreamscapes Landscaping Service, with a client brief and circumstances like no other. Dreamscapes were contracted to create a full garden landscape for and architecturally designed house. The clients were a young couple who owned a Building Company and were using the house to showcase their work. Furthermore, the house was still under construction and was being showcased on 9Life’s TV Series “Dream Homes Revealed”. The garden needed to be completed within a 4 week period, have a modern and bold design, with mature, highly impactful plantings and be able to withstand 3 large dogs! A very tricky task indeed. The judges were delighted by both the design and the execution of every aspect, especially considering the short deadline. They congratulated Dreamscapes on the sensational results and the amazing impact of the striking monotone palette that showed a fabulous juxtaposition against the mature planting.

Project: Clareville

Nestled seamlessly on Clareville Beach, this project showcases the subtle blending of both beach and bush settings. The moment you enter this property you know you’re in for something special. Mounding growth of Zoysia sits beautifully alongside burnished concrete steppingstones. The complete effect is a tranquil beachside haven.  The judges praised what they described as a really well-executed and practical project that anyone would love to call home. To quote one of the judges:  The lush, soft landscapes starting from the start of the property provide the illusion that you are on a country estate far from the ocean, however, when you make your way to the rear of the property you are situated right on the water. Every part of this project is a win for me.

Project: Northbridge

The Northbridge project demonstrates the very highest of creative and practical thinking combined to create an alluring outdoor space of timeless beauty.  A very steep slope represented a significant challenge, however, the use of crisp floating concrete steps actually switched the slope into a feature by creating a beautiful transition from indoor to outdoor with a stunning outlook. The garden boasts both a grassed area and a renovated pool area all couched in a creative planting palette, complemented by a selection of materials that would suit all tastes and styles.  The judges deemed this garden to be a true work of art so, congratulations again to Fifth Season Landscapes for a marvellous result.
