This project combines industrial elements with native, exotic, and edible plants. Accompanying a shipping container dwelling, it included a deck space with growing plants and a contrasting sculptural lawn with a firepit. The addition of an arbour in the front yard featured a hardy native garden. The judges commended the high level of construction detail and quality of the build, plus the reuse and salvage of many materials on site.

This project successfully showcased the beauty of the owners’ circa-1908 home. This included improving kerb appeal and accessibility to the property with the addition of a new driveway and addressing draining challenges. The judges noted that it “seamlessly blended innovative design with historical respect, amidst unique heritage and conservation challenges”.

This project was constructed as part of a new residential build in Sydney’s north-west. It included areas for entertaining, a bespoke barbecue area, enhanced street appeal, and a play area for children. It also included provision for the client’s vintage car collection. The judges noted the team’s exceptional ability to create an elegant, multi-functional space that perfectly suited the client’s lifestyle.

Project: Waverley

This garden involved an elegant and charming design that seamlessly integrated with the architecture of the home. It incorporated mature trees, ornamental plants, ground covers, perennials, mature palms, and screening plants to make the garden seem established for a long time. The judges commented that it was built to a very high standard of workmanship, executed and installed well, which is demonstrated by the health and vigour of the plants.

Project: Balmain

This project involved splitting the backyard into two sections – one with a Balinese feel and the other with an Italian/Tuscan theme. The Bali section included lush gardens, pool and outdoor shower, while the Tuscan space featured a large outdoor kitchen with pizza oven and entertaining area. The judges called it magnificent, saying the team’s thorough planning, detailed execution, and attentive addressing of challenges resulted in a stunning dual-themed oasis. An exceptional achievement!

This garden project is positioned within a large residential property in Sydney’s north-west and surrounds a new family home. The construction included retaining solutions and multipurpose entertaining spaces, along with a driveway, front fence, and entry statements, plus water features and other focal points of interest. Lawns and garden beds provide a lush green backdrop to the property. The judges commented that it was an incredible project with amazing detail and superb project execution.
